Little League

In the Little League Division, we now have a rule, everyone plays in all games. No more sitting on the bench the entire game or just play two or three plays and come out. The main purpose of this program is to teach your player the sport of football. Our coaches cannot teach them to play, if they sit the bench and don’t play. This will make our players better, but it will take time to get our players the coaching to teach them how to play football. Football is a team sport and not a one man show. So parents, please, help us teach them the sport of football by encouraging them and encouraging them to play as the coaches teach them. The first few weeks, most kids will want to quit mainly because they don’t understand the sport or they don’t understand why their friend is doing better in practice or why their friend is doing better than they are. Parents you must encourage them. Again it takes time. Please help your player and coaches, by encouraging your child to keep trying, encouraging him or her not to stop playing, Parents please remember when you had to learn your math time tables? You didn’t learn it the first time or the second or even the third, your child will not learn football the first time either. It may take several weeks or even a season to learn. So we as coaches need your help on this.
